Once a sparrow was in search of a shelter to build her nest and lay eggs. She came across two trees. She went and asked the first tree but it refused to give shelter. The sparrow then went to the second tree and it agreed. She built her nest and laid her eggs. After a month, the rainy season arrived.
The rains were so heavy that the first tree who had refused shelter fell and was taken away in floods. The bird saw this and taunted the tree, "This is your karma as you refused to give me shelter."
To this the tree replied, "I knew I wasn't going to make it through this rainy season and hence I refused you."
Moral: Don’t judge people before you truly know them. The truth might surprise you.
